This is a rare and iconic Alaïa  that doesn' t become available often.  Those who have one, treasure it - those who don't, covet it. Prestgious auction house Christie's, recently sold 3 vintage Alaïa dresses.  They are highly collectible. This classic black beauty could be yours  - today.  Size: XS - Stretches, Should fit 0-4 Fabric: 100% acetate knit Condition: Very Good (see notes below) Long sleeves, full length, slit to the knee in back. Considering the age of this dress - over 20 years - the condition is amazing.  On very small area (1 inch long) on the back left side appears to have been professionally rewoven.  I've tried to photograph the flaw as graphically as possible.  The gown, itself, is a challenge to capture as the slightly see-through knit fabric creates a subtle moiré effect when stretched over the dress form (which is slightly too large for the dress). What you're seeing along the left side of the back seam is the dress form zipper shining through. The Alaia label is missing, but afficionados will absolutely recongnize this dress as authentic.  The fabric content "made in Italy" tag is still there. Cleaning and restoration will be left to the discretion of the new owner. Athough this piece is exquisite, it is vintage and should be considered used/secondhand/preowned. It is not mint - it has been worn and loved... but it is still supremely wearable.
