Circa late 1970s, early 1980s. Lovely golden brown, maroon and black silk in a swirling filigree design. Gathers under scoop neck. Short sleeves. Bubble button down. Drop waist. Pleated skirt. Horizontal black bands around drop waist and skirt edge. Long separate fabric sash tie, to wear at waist. A wonderful dress to wear to the office or to an upcoming party or special event. A little history on Lapidus: After an apprenticeship with Christian Dior, Ted Lapidus opened the Haute Couture House and a Boutique for Men and Women in the mid 1950s. Working with incredible fabrics, Lapidus is known for his details in classic romantic design throughout the 60s and 70s. Lapidus retired in the early 80s when his son took over the business.
