No description in the virtual world can describe this unique and rare fabric. The light-reflective gold velvet is actually comprised of eyelash- fine metallic fibers; and combined with the black velvet to produce an incredible silky ‘hand’; or feel.Skirt is ever-so-slightly gathered at the inset waist, features inset side seam pockets,  and is further detailed with a subtle inverted front pleat to allow for ‘wiggle-room’ through the hips!  Slightly ‘tulip-styled’. High-quality construction includes hand finishing, with full (acetate?) lining, inner waist petersham belt closure, 22” OPTI back nylon zip w/ top hook&eye, and shoulder pads for gentle shaping(easily removed w/ a few snips)!! There are no fabric content tags, but I’m fairly confident this is a silk/rayon blend.This dress is a timeless classic! I estimate it to be from the late 80's or very early 90's....but it fits right in with the tailored, stuctured lines of modern day trends!! Not a flaw to note on this Exquisite Designer dress, with the exception being the absence of the original belt!! I have replaced this with the vintage 2”wide, lush black velvet, bow-detailed belt that is shown, and will be included! Hard to say what the original belt was, but the replacement is  high quality and, ultimately, very fabulous!! Belt is removable, with string woven belt loops. Perhaps change up the look with a gold belt!!
